Our Story
BLOOM (Building Lifetime Opportunities through Mentorship and Outreach) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for children, youth, and families through education, leadership, and community empowerment.
BLOOM was created from a simple belief: where a child is born should never determine the opportunities they have in life.
Our work bridges two communities that have shaped our story. In Nebraska, we educate, advocate, and build awareness around the experiences of African immigrants, refugees, and underserved communities. In Lusaka, Zambia, we invest in sustainable, community-led initiatives that improve access to education, strengthen families, and empower young people to reach their full potential.
